Chebulic Myrobalan is called the “king of medicines” in Tibb and is one of the prime Ayurvedic herbs because of its extraordinary healing powers. It is actually the dried fruit from the Terminalia chebula tree, also referred to as Harar (Haritaki). In addition to its digestive benefits, the fruit is also a good source of vitamin C and the minerals selenium, potassium, manganese, iron and copper. Terminalia chebula fruit is also considered to have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. At the same time, it is known to promote tissue growth and health.

Usage:
- During constipation, one should take haritaki in the form of powder with water.
- To cure cough and cold, one should take haritaki powder along with honey. It also cures a sore throat and gingivitis.

Take about three to six grams of harar powder and boil it in water.
Once the water comes to a rolling boil, decant the solution.
Add one teaspoon of honey to the mix.
Have this mixture every morning, preferably on an empty stomach.
